Single and Looking for Love?
Find the Love our Your Life at Life House for Animals!

L.I.F.E. (let important friends exist) House for animals was established in 1997 by three board members who saw a need for a no euthanasia pet adoption facility dedicated to finding loving homes for pets in need.  The Fido Court facility in Frankfort, KY opened in May 2003.  For more information about the organization, visit www.lifehouse4animals.com

Hannah is a two year old female domestic short hair cat who would love to adopt you.  However, she does have some specific requirements.  As you can see in the photo she loves to spend time surfing the internet and has recently started her own internet blog.  Her favorite web site?  www.capitallivingky.com of course!

Layla is a six month old female boxer mix.  She enjoys running and playing with the other dogs.  Layla has become an expert billiards player during her stay at Life House.  If she adopts the right owner, the pair could become Frankfort’s most notorious pool sharks.

Chloe  is an eight week old  female calico kitten with her whole life in front of her.  A recent graduate of Good Shepherd School, Chloe was the youngest kitten in history to receive a perfect SAT score.  While proficient in playing the piano, oboe, and banjo, she intends to follow in the footsteps of Margaret Thatcher and pursue a degree in plastics engineering. Abby is a one year old female dachshund mix.  She has lots of energy and would love to have a job to do - preferably ridding the county of moles - one mole hill at a time.  The publisher brought her to Bridgeport for an afternoon and watched in awe while she battled a mole in his front yard.  Abby won, and the subdued mole weighed in at a hefty 143.5 pounds.  Bridgeport Mayor Salen Wingate awarded her the land record for largest mole ever taken down in his great city.
Rex is an eight week old male Jack Russell terrier/boxer mix.  He is an extraordinary puppy who is looking for an owner who will appreciate him for his mind and not just his boyish good looks.  Rex is recently turned down an offer from GQ magazine to be their first K-9 on the cover.  Reportedly he did so because he is holding out to try to be the first K-9 to be on the cover of Capital Living. Rigby is the brother of eight week old Rex (a Jack Russell Terrier/boxer mix).  Unlike his brother, Rigby enjoys the great outdoors and is already pursuing his private pilot license at the Capital City Airport.  With 20 hours of flight time under his collar, rumor has it that he is asking Senator Mitch McConnell for an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy where he hopes to become ‘Top Dog’
